First you need to print the official page in order to start coloring it.
Click here for a PDF of the page and print it.
Then you have until April 22 to color the page and return to the Norfolk Daily News. Feel free to drop it off at our office at 525 Norfolk Ave. or mail it to PO Box 977, Norfolk NE 68702. Voting begins Monday, April 25!
Be creative! It's a coloring contest, but you aren't limited to just colors. Use whatever you have around the house to decorate the page. Remember, it's all about being green, so think about different things you can use to decorate the page and be green! Can you recycle something around your house to decorate the page? You could use pop tabs, buttons, toothpicks, old newspapers. Creativity counts!
There are five categories, so ALL AGES are welcome! The categories are 5 and younger, 6-9, 10-14, 15-20, 21-64 and 65 and older.
Our sponsor, Green Fiber, will select the top six pages in each age category, but then you will decide the winners. You can vote up to five times a day from April 25-April 28. The winner will be announced at 8 a.m. Friday, April 29, at www.norfolkdailynews.com.
The entry that gets the most votes in each category will win a prize from GreenFiber valued at $50. That's right, there will be six winners!
All pages will be displayed at the Norfolk City Auditorium on Saturday, April 30, during the Green Council's clean-up day of Johnson Park .
Everyone is invited to grab your gloves and join the fun in Norfolk with the North Fork River Cooridor cleanup on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to noon. Tasks will include litter pickup, weed pulling, brush removal, tree trimming, trash hauling, general cleanup and more.
